The Origin Story...

Founded in 2014 at The Louisiana in Bristol, Chiverin Records was born from a desire to spotlight one of the UK’s most vibrant and eclectic music scenes. Staying true to our South West roots and now based in Newquay, Cornwall, we continue to champion a growing roster of critically acclaimed artists from across the country - supporting them as they challenge boundaries and redefine their genres.

At the heart of Chiverin is a deep commitment to nurturing left-field talent from their very first songs. That long-term, artist-first ethos has helped our musicians reach millions of listeners worldwide, with many going on to sign landmark deals with respected labels such as Dead Oceans, Domino, and Rhythm Section International.

Alongside our label work, Chiverin Management now represents a dynamic roster of forward-thinking artists. We manage Elder Island, Bristol’s genre-blending trio known for their lush blend of electronic, soul and indie, with a global fanbase built through relentless touring and acclaimed releases. Cousin Kula bring a kaleidoscopic take on psych-pop, fusing sun-soaked melodies with infectious grooves that have made them one of the South West’s most exciting live acts. Maja Lena offers a more introspective edge, crafting beautifully understated indie-folk rooted in honest storytelling and emotive performance. Rounding out the roster is Dirty Nice, whose sharp, feel-good indie pop pairs playful energy with festival-ready hooks and a fast-growing international following.

Chiverin Records is also proud to be have been the first musical home of RHAIN, the solo project of Rhian Teasdale from Grammy and Brit Award–winning band Wet Leg. Her early releases through the label earned widespread critical acclaim and national airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music, alongside unforgettable performances at End of the Road, Bluedot, Deer Shed, and beyond.

Our early showcases introduced Bristol audiences to future stars including Elder Island, Blossoms, Bad Sounds, and Sinkane, while live sessions with Bristol Couch and tour management for George Ezra marked the beginning of our wider journey in the industry.

From intimate showcases to global stages, Chiverin Records remains dedicated to discovering exceptional artists early and giving them the platform to be heard far and wide.
