Feist and Ben Gibbard - ‘Train Song’

Originally by Vashti Bunyan; Feist and Ben Gibbard covered ‘Train Song’ for the Red Hot Charity compilation album Dark Was The Night produced by Aaron and Bryce Dessner of The National in 2009.

The smokey blues alley stylings adopted in this recording are illustrative of the move Feist made in tone from The Reminder in 2007 to Metals in 2011.

Dark Was The Night also featured offerings from the likes of Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear, Jose Gonzales, Yeasayer, Beirut, Arcade Fire, Dirty Projectors, My Morning Jacket, Sufjan Stevens amongst other greats. A follow up album is supposedly in the works.
